1. Make sure your potential customers know the benefits of having a security company that protects them and their homes. You want them to be impressed with the benefits, as this will make them more receptive to your marketing.

2. Make yourself different from your competitors. When you differentiate yourself from other security companies, you can attract clients, including clients of other security companies. Find out what your competitors are offering and go the extra mile to meet customer needs.

3. Offer a guarantee to your customers. People love guarantees, and if you give them a guarantee, they will be more open to doing business with you.

4. When your customers sign a contract with you, reward them with promotional items or discounts. For example, if a customer signs the contract for one year, give them a five percent discount. If they sign for two years, give them a ten percent discount and if they sign for four years, give them a twenty percent discount.

Customers are the lifeblood of any business, especially a security company. If no one pays you to offer security, you won't have much to do and you won't make money. It may seem obvious, but many companies failed because they failed to realize the importance of acquiring and retaining customers.
