What does it mean to have a connection with God? Aren’t we all connected to Him in one way or another? After all, He is the one who created us. He is the one who breathed life into us.

We’ve all questioned God at some point in our lives and have felt guilty for it. Whether you are religious or trying to be religious, it’s crucial to create a connection with Him to understand Him better.

So, how can you create a genuine connection with God?

Here’s what you can do:

Call Out to Him

There is no right or wrong way to pray. But praying to Him and calling out to Him is important if you want to have a heart-to-heart with Him. He listens to us; He is in our hearts and our minds. He’s closer to us than we know.

When you’re feeling anxious, distressed, or lonely, call out to God. Talk to Him in your heart. Talk to Him aloud. It doesn’t matter how you call out to Him; just make sure you do.

The most beautiful thing about God is that you don’t need to subscribe to a religion to build a connection with Him. He is there; always has and always will be!

Develop a Relationship with Others

When it comes to His people, God doesn’t discriminate and neither should we. Learn more about others in your community or area. Go out and meet people. You will learn to appreciate others and see the privileges God has gifted you with.

The gift of life is beautiful and God has given us this life to help us prepare for the afterlife. Volunteer at shelters or talk to people on the streets. You will realize that the life we live is so much better than what others are living. This will help you appreciate God, as well as the people around you.

You will learn to see how strong people are and how amazing life truly is.

Put Your Trust in Him

You need to trust Him. He has created us and He will continue to take care of us. He helps us in subtle ways or by showing us miracles. But he has never abandoned us. Trust that if you are in a predicament, He will show you the way.

Things will get better and He will come to your rescue.
