You’ve got it all—a nice, loving and caring family, a cosy home, and a handsome pension to get rid of all the worries in life. Your kids have graduated university and all have a family of their own. You’re living the dream and you couldn’t be happier!
Except…there’s just one small problem—you feel like something is missing!
We’ve all been there; feeling like we could do something more. Something better. If you can’t seem to shake off that feeling, here’s what you can do to add some jazz to your life:
Don’t Brush Aside That Feeling
A lot of people try to shrug it off. They try to cope
with the feeling by putting in on the backburner. But that’s not the right
approach. You need to feel your feelings
and figure out what’s causing you to feel this way.
Don’t invalidate your own emotions. Just because you
have a lot to be grateful for doesn’t mean that you can’t feel like there’s
more you can achieve in life.
Do You Have “FOMO”?
Some people have “FOMO” which is “Fear Of Missing
Out”. This is completely normal and often happens to people who are
introverted.
You need to remind yourself that the life experiences
you’ve had are just as interesting as anyone else’s. The grass is always
greener on the other side. Other people’s life experiences are different from
ours because they’re living their own lives and we are living ours.
Figuring Out What to Do
Do you have goals that you want to achieve? What’s
stopping you? There are dozens of ways to do things and figuring out how we can
achieve our goals is difficult but not impossible.
Reading out other people’s lives and experiences can
help fill that gap; the feeling of emptiness.
